Update – upcoming Zoom event

Dear Member,
In common with other societies we have been concerned about our
inability to have our customary winter talks in these difficult times.
So, we have decided to embrace modern technology in the form of
zoom virtual meetings.
We are very pleased that CHRISTOHER HEAVEY will deliver the first
talk on WED 18NOV at 8pm entitled “A WINTER WONDERLAND”
Details of how to tune in will follow next week. Do not worry if you
are unfamiliar with this new technology as we will talk you through it.
Please also advise your friends. This is a great opportunity to promote
our society and get new members.
Watch out for further details next week!

Update – A note from our Chairperson

“Due to the continuing health risk posed by Covid-19, the Autumn talks from September to November have been cancelled. The possibility of resuming talks in the Spring will be reviewed in January next.
Please keep safe in these extraordinary times.
Kind regards,
Gay Coghlan

Malahide Horticultural Society was founded in 1942. In addition to regular friendly and informative meetings, and the annual Spring and Summer Shows, the Society conducts a Winter Programme of Talks on gardening and environmental subjects. We also arrange Summer Tours and Outings to gardens of interest around the country. Some of these trips are to gardens not normally open to the public. Non-members are welcome to come on these outings, subject to availability.

For more information, call (Mrs) Gay Coghlan on 01 8450448 or see the Events page.

We hope as you browse through the site it will give you a taste of the Society, its history, and its various activities, all of which are open to you. We are affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland and with the North County Dublin Horticultural Societies.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions, and check out the Events page or friend us on Facebook for updates. If you don’t already, why not come and join us at a meeting soon? We look forward to seeing you.
